Important Guidelines cum Information for Cpt

1. Do we have to type our name and Roll no. in Excel or Ppt Footer or we just have to write XXXXX as shown in Excel and Ppt question?
Answer- You have to write your name and roll no. in footer or header as instructed in Cpt question.
2.  Always read the instructions first then start preparing excel and ppt. Last year I did a mistake. What I did is that I started making slide without reading the instructions. I chose blank slide and made slide in that blank slide but when I went through the instructions,I found that one have to choose Slide of Title and Subtitle Slide. I had ample time so I rectified my error within 15 minutes.
but ho skta h kisi bande ke pas apne error sudharne ka time na mile.So it's better to read instructions first.
3. There will be lot of instructions in Cpt question. As u know,u will have just 15 minutes so read all the instructions carefully but fastly. So that u can have time to prepare excel and ppt.
4. Wrap text is also essential part of Excel. Use wrap text according to question.
5. In ppt, you have to make border yourself. Many persons commit mistake by choosing title and subtitle slide ,then they think ki border to ho gaya..but when print out comes, there will be no border.Because u will have to manually make border as per the demand of ppt question.
6. After making slide and excel, always see print preview to make sure that the print out come in one page only. Many people commit mistakes by not seeing print preview and unka 2 page mai print aa jata h.
7. Central Align kaha krna h,left align, right align, wrap text kaha krna h,in sab ka dhyan rakhe..
8. If your typing speed is around 28wordpm then do increase this speed. The atmosphere of CPT centre will be different. When typing session starts ,u just listen the keystrokes of keyboard all around u.that sometimes makes u nervous. So do concentrate in your typing only without seeing what other guys are doing.

How to prepare for Mathematics for SSC Exams

I have seen SSC Aspirants being scared from math section of SSC exam due to the vast syllabus of math.
After introduction of advanced math in SSC,Non mathematics background students started thinking that SSC is hard nut to crack now. But guys,I wanna tell all of you that Perseverance in proper direction with positive mindset can make any thing a piece of cake.
Nobody can demotivate you. You have the sole responsibility to unleash your inner power and to catch your dream. All of you must have heard the quotation ," Nothing is impossible. Even Impossible says I+M+Possible". It's high time you started preparing for your dream job.
Now coming to the main topic i.e. How to prepare for Math..
Lot of students will suggest you to read NCERT books or RD sharma book from class 6 to 10 to clear your concepts. I had also got the same suggestion in the initial point of my preparation and I adopted the same. But after 1 month or so, I realised that reading and solving NCERT or RD sharma books by own is taking lot of time. Also there are lot of irrelevant questions which is of no use from the point of view of preparation of SSC. And then I put aside those books. I am not saying that NCERT Books are not good.
They are awesome books but they are made for academic purpose instead of Ssc preparation purpose. They are good for building concept but you find irrelevant things in them which will just waste your precious time. It's better to read some good books which is concise and will help you in cracking tier 2 exam.
If your concept is not clear in arithmetic or geometrical portion of mathematics or you are stuck in some arithmetic or advance math questions then I will strongly suggest you to read "Ankganit (Vastunistha Prashno ke liye) by Mahesh Mishra"(New Edition).
I assure you that it will help you to master Mathematics of SSC in few days. One of the main features of this book is that the concept given in the beginning of each chapter is very concise. The excercises given at the end of the chapter is awesome. You will find variety of questions there. Also explanation of the solution of each question given in the chapter is given very clearly.
So I will also suggest to those aspirants whose concept is clear to please solve the excercise.
The only problem with this book is that it comes in hindi only. But i will also recommend this book to english medium students. Just complete it.
But if one is not comfortable in Hindi then I will suggest those aspirants to first clear their basic concepts from any Good book. After that they should solve "Kiran 5500+". And for advance mathematics ,they can read "Lucent Advance Mathematics" and solve all the exercise given in this book.
One Important thing to master mathematics is solving practice sets.
Practicing sets daily is the key to success in Ssc exams. Do practise 1 set daily of mathematics. And after completing the set, do analyze it
...that means to see in which questions you are finding difficulties then write those questions in a different note book with complete solution. Also see which questions are time taking. Then try to clear the concept of those questions.
Practicing sets will help you to check your speed, accuracy and time. Time is the essential thing to clear any exam. Because one has to solve paper in the exam in the given time frame. If you can solve every questions of the exam but not within given time frame, then it is of no use. So do manage time in exam.
For practicing set, you can buy sets of paramount or you can join their test series. But if you don't have access to paramount sets then solve sets from platform or Kiran practice sets.
Also complete all the previous advance mathematics questions asked so far. Because I have seen that ssc used to ask previous questions of advance mathematics with meager twist .
Note- I am not saying that all the books other than what I mentioned above is insufficient to clear SSC exams. I am just saying that in my opinion the above mentioned books are good enough to clear SSC Exams with very good marks.
Every book is more or less the same. But some books are written so perfectly that one can easily understand and master the subject with the help of those books.
Many students always used to ask me about books. I always see that It has become their habit of asking about books. They don't read what one suggests them. Instead they just always ask same queries about books. The message to them is that It is of no use to ask about books again and again. Instead study. That will help you to sail your boat.
Suggestions just give a basic idea to prepare for any exams but hard labour and positive mindset help one to come out with flying colors. So keep this on your mind. All the very best smile emoticon

HOW TO PREPARE FOR REASONING FOR SSC CGL AND SSC CHSL

Many beginners are confused about the preparation of Reasoning for different SSC Exams. They used to buy thick reasoning books from different writers like R. S. Agarwal, M.K. Pandey etc.
They used to give lots of their time in solving chapters from these books. Sometimes, they feel disheartened when they find lots of tough questions in these books.
Dear all SSC Aspirants, I also used to do the same in the beginning of my preparation of SSC. I had devoted lots of my valuable time in solving questions from such books.
But When I went through the question papers of SSC, I realised that I was acting like a fool by solving such thick books and their exercises. What I realised is that there is no need of book for the preparation of Reasoning for SSC. The level of Reasoning of SSC is not that hard. It’s very easy and scoring paper. After 2 to 3 months of study, one can score 40+ easily in this section in the real SSC exam.
So the golden tips to master this section are to solve at least 2 previous papers of Reasoning daily from good previous papers’ sets.
I will recommend solving previous years’ reasoning sets from Kiran Publication as you will find less error in this book.
Initially solve 2 previous papers of Reasoning daily without taking any time limit. Solve each question by and by. And circle/underline those questions in which you are stuck. After solving the 50 questions’ paper, analyze the paper i.e. try to see in which questions you find difficulty. Then with the help of answer, try to understand How to solve such types of questions. The beginners will find many new questions of reasoning but gradually those questions will be a piece of cake for them as they will solve previous papers’ questions again and again.
After 1 month or so , start solving previous years’ reasoning papers taking a time limit of 30 minutes and try to solve all the questions within 30 minutes. Gradually you will master this section by mere practicing from previous years’ papers.
Guys, Just sink deep in your heart that you have to crack SSC and you will definitely clear it.

All the very best 

Hello SSC ASPIRANTS.

I am posting  20 Cheat Codes that will help you to excel in Interview. Actually these are not cheat codes, these are 20 golden tips for Interview. But I have named it cheat code as It will help you to have the edge over others.

As all of you know that SSC CPO Interview is going to be held on December. So the selected guys have less time to prepare for Interview. Also If there will be Interview for SSC CGL 2014 then these below mentioned tips will also be beneficial for the same.

First understand “What is Interview?

Interview is all about personality test. It is not just question answer round. Through Interview, Personality and attitude of the Interviewee is evaluated. Confidence, Verbal and Non Verbal Communication, Proper gesture and a good Personality is necessary to excel in Interview.

Especially SSC CGL Interview is different from Bank Interview. In SSC Interview, Interviewer can ask anything under the roof. For example, If you are commerce student then they can ask you basic questions of history, geography, constitution along with your subject.

20 Cheat Codes for Interview

11.       Go to SSCNAUKRI website and read the Interview experience posted by the candidates to get a rough idea of the type of questions asked in Interview and the attitude of the Interviewer. It will help you a lot.

22.       As all of you know that You will have to fill Bio Data Form. Many a times Questions are mainly asked from your Bio Data only along with some current affairs. So you should be very careful while filling Bio Data Form. Some of the tips to write in Bio Data are-

(i)                  Fill in legible manner.

(ii)                Just write the true information in Bio Data. Don’t be boastful. Interviewers can see through it.

(iii)               No spelling errors or cut marks in Bio Data as It will reflect bad personality of yours.

(iv)              Don’t write in short manner. Like if You are Physics Honours student then don’t write Phy.(Honours). Write Completely.

(v)                If you have achieved something during your studies like if you were District or State topper then do write the same. Because it may help you to fetch good marks. And those who have scored fewer marks in academics then don’t be sad. If you answer questions related to your academics very well then you will get good marks for sure.

(vi)              If you have participated in Extra Curricular activities and social services and you have the certificate for the same then do mention it. It shows your leadership quality, your attitude towards society etc.

(vii)             You have to fill hobby. Don’t just write anything there. What your real hobby is,kindly write that only. And also do some research of the same. Like if u write playing cricket as your hobby then you should know basic stuffs of cricket, current events, BCCI, ICC and all. So be very careful while writing it.

33.       Always wear a smile on your face during Interview .

44.       Dress formally. Don’t wear casual dress. It’s not necessary to wear Coat and Tie if you feel uncomfortable in it. For Boys, Wear Shirt (formal shirt) , Formal Pant and Leather shoes. Don’t wear sports shoes. The colour of the dress should be sober. For Girls, Dress conservatively. If you are comfortable then you may wear Business Suit.

55.       During the Interview,Speak in the language in which you are comfortable. If you are not comfortable in English then you may speak in Hindi. It will not decrease your marks.

66.       You should never argue with the Interviewer. If they are saying something and you have different opinion about the same then criticise in constructive way.

77.       You should not use high pitch or very low pitch voice during Interview. Also You should not speak in a hurried manner. Speak politely and clearly.

88.       You should be well versed in the subjects whom you studied. Because if one doesn’t know about one’s subject then It shows negative and careless attitude of the Interviewee. So Read all the basic stuffs related to your subject.

99.       Before entering the Interview room, You should ask permission for the same. And after reaching the Interview board, greet them. After greeting them , ask permission to seat. Then after their permission, thank them.  Sit comfortably with an erect posture. When the Interview is over, Do thank them.

110.   Don’t let the fear of Interview taking your mind. Just be cool and attentive during Interview.

111.   Listen to the Interviewer carefully. If you don’t understand some questions then only request them to repeat the questions.

112.   Maintain eye contact while listening and answering Interviewer’s questions.  Many students stare elsewhere while listening or answering the questions.  Don’t do this. It shows negative personality of the Interviewee.

113.    Don’t use slangs like “yeah”, “you know” ,”well” etc.

114.   Don’t give wrong answers to the Interviewer. If you don’t know the answer of some questions, tell them straight,”Sorry, I don’t know the answer”. Lot of my friends were not able to answer many questions of the Interview and told sorry each time, still they got good marks in Interview. So Don’t ever lie to the experienced Interviewer.

115.   Don’t just answer in “yes” or” no” if they are asking your opinion about a particular event. Like if they ask you that are you satisfied with the poll results in Bihar? Then don’t  just answer in “yes” or “no”. Instead explain enough to satisfy your views. Your answer should be self explanatory.

116.    It will be beneficial to give mock interviews as It will give real feel of the Interview and will lessen your stress during D Day. If you live in place where such facility is not available then you can request your friends to become Interviewer and ask questions and also tell them to evaluate you, your voice, your answer etc.

117.   You should know well about history, geography and current events of Your State and District. You should also know the famous personalities of your state. You should know the meaning of your name.

118.    Brush up your graduation subjects. Because If one is asked from graduation subject and one doesn’t  know the answer  then It shows the carelessness of Interviewee that he/she had no interest what he/she does. So prepare for your subjects very well. If one has changed his stream after Intermediate e.g. If one has completed Intermediate in Science and switched to Commerce or Arts later on in graduation the he/she  will have to  read subjects studied in Intermediate and Graduation both for the purpose of Interview.

119.   If you have work experience then you should know very well about  your company profile, your work nature etc. Why are you switching from present job?

220.    You should prepare basic stuffs from other subjects viz. Science, History, Geography and Constitution. You should also have the knowledge of Current affairs and events.

All the best guys. I hope these tips will really help you to score good marks in Interview. Be confident while facing the Interview. Because at last, Confidence and personality matter most in Interview.

Good Luck

How and What to Read in Newspaper

Many Ssc Aspirants are confused about reading newspaper. They are confused how and what to read in newspaper..which newspaper is good..
So let me clear some doubts of you..
I will suggest to read "The Hindu" newspaper..If it is not available in your area then any standard newspaper will do the work for you..But if "the Hindu" is available then read that only..
Now let's talk about what to read in it..

I will suggest to read two sections of newspaper..
First section is editorial which is mandatory to be read.. Second section can be chosen by you according to your like and taste. Like if you love cricket or football news then read the play section of newspaper..
So it's clear now what to read in newspaper.
The time that should be devoted to reading newspaper may differ from person to person. Like If you are from hindi medium or vernacular medium student and your English is very weak then I will suggest to read newspaper for atleast 1 hour but If your English is average then the the time duration may range between 30 to 60 minutes.
Now It's time to suggest how to use newspaper for proper utilisation of yours.
Way of reading newspaper may be different from person to person. But in my point of view the best way to read newspaper is to read newspaper by speaking aloud.
You should not read English in mind. Instead one should read newspaper by speaking aloud. The benefit of the same will be ..your pronunciation will improve..
According to me,the way to read newspaper is as follows-
first read one section e.g. editorial of the newspaper by speaking aloud... Also write down the high frequency words and the words whose meaning is not known to you which you find while reading newspaper.. after reading the section, write down the meaning of those words and try to remember them.. then again read the newspaper keeping in mind the word u noted down and try to grasp the meaning of the passage you read..
Also try to remember and repeat the words daily which you noted down in your notebook.. the benefit of the same will be that those words will be in your mind for last long.. and generally in newspaper many high frequency words repeat, after 3 to 4 months of reading newspaper daily, you will not have to note down words as you will find repetition of learnt words..
Along with reading newspaper,Read word power made easy by Norman Lewis for strong vocabulary..
Good Luck

How to read General Knowledge for Tier 1

Hello guys..

I know there is one part of SSC CGL Tier 1 which scares a lot to SSC Aspirants and that part is of General Knowledge. Even many selected candidates have got very less marks in this subject owing to the constant boredom of reading general knowledge.

I was also very dull in General Knowledge. When I had given SSC CGL 2013 Exam which was cancelled, I got Minus 1 (-1) marks in GS section. So, You can imagine what my GS section would be at that time. Then I read somewhere to read Lucent General Knowledge. When I started lucent, I was learning everything by rote. That means mai pura ek ek chiz ratta mar raha tha.. Usse problem ye hua ki 1 se 2 page ratta marne mai mujhe 3 se 4 ghante (hours) lag jate the..thode din bad mai wo v bhul jata tha..then one person suggested me to Just read the book daily again and again..Usne bola “ratta mat mar.Kewal book ko har din padho.matlab ki agar mai aj 3 se 4 page padha to phir kal v ussi 3 se 4 page padhna hoga aur phir tisre din agla 4 se 5 page padhna hoga..phir one week bad sara ko repeat karna hoga.. (He said ,”don’t try to learn it by rote Just read the book again and again. Like if u r reading page no. 1 to 4 today, then revise this again next day,and after that next day read page no.5 to 8 and then again revise it next day and so on.. After one or two week, revise from page no.1). Actually whatever he said is on the basis of the research done by scientist which says that if one study like this, then whatever one read ,will be in mind for a long time. Then I did the same and I saw the improvement in me. This method worked very well and mujhe sara history ,civics etc. ish book se pura yaad ho gaya tha.. You will not believe but I want to share that I had scored -1 in GS section in 2013 CGL but owing to this method, I scored very decent marks in CGL 2014. Now You can realize that I am not a unique guy. I am just a simple guy like you.. So,adopt this method and read any good book of General Knowledge. But you will have to study GS section every day..

Good Luck :)
